THESIS- statement of an argument that you tend to prove.

*Should be contestable- Reader should understand it right away.
*Should be specific and focused.
*Your thesis should be something that you have evidence about also flexible.

*It should be a map and help them to look for throughout
*Avoid first person.
*Passed the so what test.
4 TEST TO KNOW YOU HAVE A GOOD THESIS
*Does the thesis include(address) all parts of the questions.
*A reasonable reader respond to it as duh or so what.
*Does it avoid generally phrasing such words like all such etc.
*Does it lead the reader toward the topic sentence.
