My MASTER PIECE

Well I am senior at Ernest Righetti High School. This is my last year of being forced to do something that I am not interested. After this I will be able to do whatever I want and enjoy. Which is to attend cosmetology at Paul Mitchel. At first that wasn't even on my mind. As a kid many of us would say a pro this or that. Which is awesome if you want to still do it and are very talented if you make it and I hope who ever wants this accomplishes it. I have changed my mind so many times as i was growing up like; a chef, a baker, a police officer, a doctor, a clinic forensic psychologist. Something that makes a lot of money. But later on in my life I received amazing advice from my father. Which was "Do something that makes you happy. Not that makes a lot of money." Which I sat there to take it in and I realized he was right. He continued and asked me, "Would you rather do something you love and enjoy and doesn't even feel like you're getting paid. Or would you want to dread to go to work and be miserable?" Well that was an obvious answer UMM be happy! Duh! What I came up with was doing hair which I love doing and I do it everyday anyways. Well that is part of my master piece and a part of me.

Hacking My Education

We talked about this in class while Dr. Preston was going into detail about our journal topic that we do everyday. Which was;

Describe a thought or a feeling that you'd forgotten over break and experienced again when you walked back into this room.  Describe how you will create the thoughts and feelings you want to experience in this room this semester.

What i forgot over break was everything. I forgot completely about school until time got closer. I forgot how this class was different we get learn and teach in our own way. What I experienced when i was in class again, was that it seemed like i was never gone. The way i will create my thoughts and feelings this semester is really focusing on myself and my goal. I'm going to get more involved i need to start focusing on my future and stop trying to breeze through my senior year. This is my last year/chance to make sure i follow my goal. But yet we still need to make class more fun and upbeat to create memories so were not all so uptight and serious all the time!

What's In This For Me?

My goal is to get a scholarship to attend Paul Mitchell. What's in this for me is that I will be attending a school that I am very passionate about the things they are teaching. I will be doing and learning things that i enjoy every day. I'll have a career that doesn't even feel like work.
